So it’s time to get on board and get another update happening in the life of the cafe. Lately we have been working alongside Bean Larder to help launch their new range of retail coffee. They are funky, their bags are looking like something you just want to pick up, purchase and hold in your hand! Yep, seriously, these bags are going to be that unpretentious way of selling retail coffee without the big plastic, land-fill, one way value dolphin killers.
I got a sneak peak at their website the other day too. It’s not quite up and running yet, but they are getting close to launching it. Expect green bean, roasted beans, accessories and Star cafe addictive sugar coasted almonds. I’m not sure of exactly the launch date, but keep track of their twitter and I’m sure they will tell the coffee world in a BIG way.
So what’s changed with Star Cafe? HEAPS! We are getting into this whole winter thing that Toowoomba throws at us every year. Why does it seem that Toowoomba is colder than Melbourne?
To make the staff happier, we have decided to open at 8am from now on, not 7am like we have been. This way they are nice and relaxed to offer you the best coffee and food that will blow your little cotton socks off! Once it warms up again, we will go back to the early starts so hang in there and have a sleep in.
So opening the cafe later benefits the staff, what about the customers? Well, we went and altered the menu just for you. We are easing into a menu that is packed full of great breakfast, lunch and light meal ideas. You’ll love the Potato Rostie breakfast, or even the Savoury French Toast. For lunch try the Grilled Veg sandwich, the risotto or the soup of the day. Get warm this winter, in the comforts of our little north facing cafe and watch the world pass you by..
This was short but sweet, catch you in a week or two,
Dave
